10 Free Trades at Play.com PlayTrade Until 31st January!
Leave the first response January 8, 2009 / Posted in Sell StuffIf you’re looking to sell some unwanted books, games, CDs or DVDs and are unsure where to offload them then now’s a good time to have a look at PlayTrade from Play.com as they’re offering 10 free trades until the end of January 2009. If you’ve got a stack of “why did I buy that film” DVDs, unwanted games or perhaps got sent some dodgy Christmas presents then use PlayTrade to see if you can convert them to cash!
Listing with PlayTrade is easy. You just locate the item you want to sell via PlayTrade and then decide the price that you’d like to sell at. You may find that other sellers are offering the item you’re putting up for sale so try and pitch the price accordingly. Remember you’ll also need to pay postage too!
Then you sit and wait and hope someone wants to buy your goodies! If they do you’ll get a notification from Play.com to send the item and once all’s done and dusted cash appears in your PlayTrade account. This money can be withdrawn or used to buy new games, DVDs, books, CDs etc from Play.com!
If you prefer Amazon to Play.com then you can also sell your stuff via Amazon. We’ve not used this service, but have used Play.com and have found it very simple (plus all our items sold)!
If you don’t fancy waiting to find a buyer then you can sell your old Games, CDs and DVDs to Music Magpie. This site works like the “recycle your mobile” sites but with Music Magpie you get paid for sending in your old music, games and films.
It’s worth noting that the payments aren’t particularly high. For example we checked the price of Hancock and were offered just £2.23. The cheapest PlayTrade offer on this movie starring Will Smith is £8.39 – so if you do have a copy to move on then it’s well worth trying to sell via the likes of PlayTrade!

Get Healthy With Graze – Healthy Food Delivery – First Box Free!
1 Comment December 30, 2008 / Posted in Free TrialsIf your New Year’s Resolution is to eat a bit healthier then new foodie site Graze may well be worth a look. It’s a food service that delivers healthy snack boxes to you as often as you like. You can choose the snacks and content of your box too – and to encourage you to give them a try your first box is free and second half price.
The offer applies to the small box – which usually costs £2.99! You can opt to have a medium box (£3.89) or a large box (£4.79) but the offer doesn’t apply to these boxes.
You can select the products that make up your box (and there’s a load of healthy goodies to choose from) but if time is short then you can choose from some ready made boxes. There are boxes for 3aday, classic and luxury plus nutritional boxes for energy, wellbeing, preworkout and postworkout.
The foods include fresh fruit, fresh veg, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, savoury snacks and olives! If you don’t like certain foods then you can tell Graze to never include them in your box. You can change your order at any time too.
So for just £1.49 you’ll get two small boxes from Graze, after that (if you don’t cancel your order) it’ll be £2.99 for a small box. It’s a nice idea, a fairly cheap trial offer and could help you eat a bit more healthily, perhaps at your desk when you’d usually be munching cakes or chocolates, in 2009!

Free Front Page of The Sun Newspaper Gift!
Leave the first response December 10, 2008 / Posted in Free With PurchaseIf you’ve been to sites like Get Digging then you’ll know that you can buy spoof newspaper front pages with personalised headlines. If you were thinking that’s not a bad Christmas gift idea, then The Sun have a superb freebie offer for you. They’ve teamed up with Making the News and are offering a free special edition of The Sun.
Usually you’d pay £19.99, but all they’re asking is that you pay £2.99 for postage and packing.
Full details can be found at The Sun Online.
You can personalise the spoof front page, upload a photo and make adjustments to the text. The only thing you can’t change is that it has to be a The Sun page (which is fair enough as they’re offering the freebie).

How Much Is Your Old Mobile Worth? Get Free Cash For Your Old Mobile!
1 Comment December 5, 2008 / Posted in MobilesIf you’re looking to raise a few extra pounds to buy Christmas presents or give yourself a treat in the forthcoming sales then why not have a root around and find that old mobile phone you no longer use. It could be worth a couple of quid. For example I’ve got a Nokia N73 that’s been staring at me for the last 12 months or so – and it’s worth £50 if I send it in to the Mobile Phone Xchange.
So that’s what I’m doing!
It’s easy to do too. You tell them the details of your phone and your address etc and they tell you how much they’ll give you for it (if your phone’s damaged you won’t get as much). They send you an envelope, you send them back your phone and they send you a cheque… and a cheque is a lot better than a mobile phone doing nothing!
So why not give it a go?
The current Top 10 Phones at Mobile Phone Xchange (and how much you can get as of December 5th 2008) are shown below.
1. Nokia N95 – £90
2. Samsung G600 – £30
3. Nokia 6300 – £30
4. Sony Ericsson K850i – £45
5. Nokia N95 8GB – £125
6. Sony Ericsson W910i – £30
7. Sony Ericsson K800i – £30
8. Nokia N73 – £50
9. LG KU990 Viewty – £44
10. Sony Ericsson K810i – £33
