Here’s quite a nice freebie: AXA PP healthcare are offering free dental insurance, for accidental cover only, worth up to £1000. All you have to do is sign up! The Dental Accident Starter plan offers 12 months of free cover for the treatment of dental accidents that occur after you join. You can claim up to £250 for each treatment up to a maximum of four claims over the year.

The treatments covered include: tooth examinations and reports, tooth x-rays, crown and bridgework, root canal treatment, permanent and temporary dentures and emergency treatment! You need to complete a form to claim your free policy, and an AXA representative will then call you back, probably to offer you extra benefits, policies or offers.

Also on offer from AXA PP healthcare is a free physiotherapy policy should you, touch wood you don’t, have a road traffic accident. The plan offers 12 months of free cover and will pay for the active treatment of an injury, that resulted from a road traffic accident occurring after you joined, with a physiotherapist or a complementary practitioner up to £250.

You may also be interested in AXA’s healthcare cashback scheme. CashBack lets you claim money back towards your everyday healthcare bills and includes £90 of dental treatment and £70 of optical treatment per year. Plus your children are covered at no extra cost. If you’re thinking about getting fit or keeping fit then you may have heard about David Lloyd Leisure. They have 59 clubs around the UK, including Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. As well as the usual exercise equipment you’d expect, plus swimming pool, David Lloyd offer a number of exercise classes to help you keep fit and be motivated (let’s face it, sitting on an exercise bike isn’t that much fun). From Circuits to Cycling, or Salsa to Spinning you should be able to find a class to suit you. They also have fully qualified Personal Trainers on hand to help you achieve your goals!

If you are serious about joining a gym like David Lloyd then do make sure you go along and check out the facilities. These gyms can be expensive, so make sure you’re getting value for money and are not tied into a long contract. Work out how often you’ll realistically go to the gym, the classes you’d like to take (check if you have to pay extra), if you want use of the swimming facilities etc.

They also have a competition with a fabulous Budda-Bag worth up to £300 up for grabs – and all you need to do to win it is tell your friends and colleagues about Zubka (there’s a lot of referral stuff going on isn’t there!). Plus everyone who introduces more than 5 new Referrers from now until August 31st will get the chance to win a pampering session worth £100 at a luxurious local spa.

Whether you can really make money from referring friends to Zubka remains to be seen, but someone with a bit of time and ingenuity (and a lot of friends looking for work) could almost create their own little job agency. However, there are limitations in the fact that the vacancies don’t seem to be UK wide. A search of the Zubka job board for “Wales” and “Scotland” brings up just 1 and 9 vacancies respectively.
