Everyone is trying to Fight Climate Change and recently there’s been a spate of “go green” type cashback sites. Instead of earning cashback for yourself you earn points for carbon offsetting! One such site is Gocarbonfree.com who are offering all new users free low energy light bulbs. When we visited the website the only freebie we could find were “4 personal carbon credits” however hidden away in the terms it says “You receive a one time only bonus of 1 energy saving light bulb worth 200 PCC when you join”.

Sounds good.. except the offer goes on to say “you must accrue just 800 PCC in order to receive your energy saver welcome pack or pay £3.99 P&P”. So do you get a free bulb when you join or is it a free bulb when you join then use the site? There’s probably easier ways to get a free light bulb and there’s most certainly more constructive things you can do help fight climate change.
