Giving away new albums it seems is the new way to promote yourself! Following on from Radiohead and Prince, it’s now the turn of The Charlatans to give music fans free music. They’ve teamed up with XFM, who have a fab new looking website by the way, and invite you to download the new album ‘You Cross My Path’.

There are 10 tracks and you can download any number of them for free. The idea behind the free offer is that The Charlatans hope that it will encourage fans (new and old) to join them on their forthcoming tour (dates below), which is where the band makes more money.
