Thomas Cook Petition For a Free Day Off!Posted at 10:12:00am by freebiemac |
Thomas Cook are calling on Brits to join the campaign and sign its petition for an extra Bank Holiday - and to prove it means business, Thomas Cook is offering millions of free days on holidays booked between now and the end of March. Holidaymakers wanting to make the most of the ‘Go For A Free Day’ offer - and to sign the Bank Holiday petition - can do so at any one of Thomas Cook’s 800 stores or online.
Did you know?
1. We only get eight public holidays per year, but many of our European neighbours have as many as 12
2. The Spanish top the tables with a massive 16 Bank Holidays a year
3. Brits are at the bottom of the Bank Holiday league with only the Romanians ranking below us
4. There are 121 days between the last Bank Holiday in August and the next public holiday at Christmas - nearly a third of the year
Do you think we deserve another bank holiday? If yes then head off to Thomas Cook and sign the petition.

We all work extremely hard and deserve to have the same number of public holidays as other countries. As the PM wants a united Europe we should have the same number of holidays.

There should be more Bank Holidays. I suggest the following:
Shakespeare’s birthday (23 April) The Queen’s birthday
21 April; Michaelmas, 29 September; Rememberance Monday (2nd Monday in November)
