Win a Playstation 3 When You Top Up a Free T-Mobile Sim
Leave the first response August 4, 2009 / Posted in Sim CardsFree sim card offers continue here on Freebieworld! Last week we told you about a nice offer from Orange where you got £5 free credit with a free sim card, well this week the offer comes from their rivals T-mobile. Once again you can pick up a free sim card, but this time you have the chance to win a Playstation 3 Console. The down side is it’s going to cost you to have a go at winning the PS3.

Everyday until the 24th December 2009 T-mobile are giving away a console to one lucky person who has topped up their brand new sim card the previous day (so if you top up on Tuesday you’ll be in Wednesday’s draw). The minimum top up amount is £5 and you must be over 16 to enter the prize draw.
To activate your sim, just pop it into an unlocked phone and top up £5 or more and then you’re away. If your name is pulled out of the hat T-mobile will give you a ring on your mobile number to tell you the good news. Note that if you don’t answer the phone or they can’t get hold of you then someone else will be chosen as the winner.
Also worth noting is that the Friday, Saturday and Sunday draws will each take place on a Monday.

Sell Old Computer Games & Consoles for Cash
Leave the first response July 15, 2009 / Posted in GamesEveryone knows about recycling old mobiles for cash but Speedsell have taken that concept a step further. They are willing to change your old computer games, consoles and even Apple Laptops into cold hard cash. If you’ve got an Playstation, Playstation 2 or a Nintendo 64, for example, and a bundle of games you could send them all off to Speedsell. They do take newer consoles too and games too.
The older the console, the less money you’ll get, but it might be better moving it on via Speedsell than say leaving it to gather dust in a cupboard!
So what kind of value can you expect?
A Playstation One in reasonable condition will get you just £3. That may not seem a good deal, but compare that to PS1 auctions on eBay and you’ll see that there are plenty of lots without bidders, even at just 99p!
A good condition PS3 40GB will get you just under £100 whilst an Xbox 360 Arcade is valued at a mere £36! Prices change regularly so why not try and search and see what your games or console is worth?
Computer game prices tend to be rock bottom. For old format games you’re really looking at just 20p a game so it’s not a lot of money. For recent format games (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3 etc) we actually suggest you first look at Play.com’s Marketplace. You sell the item at the price you want and then can either withdraw the money (if sold) or use it to buy items at Play.
The process at Speedsell is pretty straightforward though. You tell them what you have to sell, they’ll then send a courier to collect your stuff (it’s free if the value is over £25), and then you get paid within 4 days by cheque or Paypal (provided everything’s ok).
We think Speedsell is worth a look, especially if you’re struggling to move old consoles and games on or you can’t be bothered with the hassle of eBay or Marketplace selling. However do look around eBay and see whether items are moving and the value they’re selling at.
If you’ve used Speedsell then let us know your experiences. Or do you know of somewhere else that gives you cash for your old games and consoles?
